Rear Stationary Gear Bolts

Anyone have the OEM part number or specs on the bolts (thread / length)?
I think the bolts got lost between here and machine shop when new bearings pressed in. I'll call Mazda tomorrow, or just go to my local bolt store. The local bolt store being my easiest option.

AH ok the Atkins link does have the part number in their description. I didn't know that was the oem part number, thought it was their own.

For all years between 1974-2011
Front: 9080-12-825
Rear: 9078-12-820

Ahhh....

The 'Atkins' Mazda Part Number is NLA from Mazda...
Mazda Parts - Discount factory (OEM) Mazda parts and accessories at Park Mazda OEM Parts
(Like Atkins recommends a RMS they sell which is not technically for any Renesis RE.)

In actual fact this Mazda/PN (9078-12-820) 'Atkins' list was ONLY ever used inside Manual Transmissions, not in ANY engines.

You did not say which Stationary Gear you wanted the bolt for, front or rear?.
The actual MAZDA P/N for the REAR SG Bolt is 9080-12-820, but is also NA in USA from Mazda.

That is why I gave you the FRONT Bolt which is 5mm longer, and is available from Mazda in USA (and I expect Canada), but should fit with another washer...and is meant for engine use.

In the subject line, I have 'Rear'.

But anyways, 9078-12-820 is for the manual transmission and 9080-12-820 for automatic? Doesn't make sense for a different bolt part number. The dealer got me in 9078-12-820 even thought I have an AT.

The 9078- Bolts you originally referred to are ONLY used in MANUAL Transmissions from the MAZDA factory, see the EPC pic I listed, IF they were also used in engines from the factory I would have told you so, 9078 are not officially or technically a RE stationary gear ENGINE bolt, ONLY 9080- are....you do know that different bolts have different tolerances to heat and strength/torque and shank design., yes they may have the same thread/pitch/size and look 'similar' but they are not the exact same bolt.

You asked for the OEM part number and I have given them to you, they all start with 9080-12-820 for rear and 825 for front, (again look at engine EPC in red) the Front is 5 mm longer than the rear (825-820 = +5mm), and according to MAZDA DEALERS in US they only have the fronts in 9080-12-825 in stock...they no longer sell or have the 9080-12-820 rears.

Yes, use your 9078 'Transmission Bolt' in your SG Rotary Engine it will still work.

PM me if you want anymore info...
