So heres a wierd thing for the past few days this has been happenin to my radio display. When i turn on the car i will see this. or like this . After i drive for a while the display dims all the way to the point where you dont see anything at all. But i noticed when i turn of my car and i put the key the on position it shows fine. Any ideas guys?

 

Any suggestions?

 

have to done any stereo mod or anythig that u would have been messing witht eh wires on the back of the radio?

 

the last radio mod was done about 1 year ago and it a xm tuner. The guy who had the car before did that mod.

 

check out your connections would prob b the first thing i'd do....and check the fuse to the stereo too....

 

This seems to be what happened to me back a couple years ago. Turn on the AC and cool the car down and see if the display comes b ack to normal.. also push in on the center of the radio a few times. My rx8 would show alien garbled letters on the display when the car was left in the hot sun.. turning on the AC and cooling off the car made it work again (after a few mins). I was under warranty back then, but the dealership found the problem after swapping out a couple parts and 2 or 3 visits.. one of the circuit boards was acting up.
