Can you guys tell me what type of transmission fluids I need to be using for auto 04 rx8?

not sure on the auto, but it's listed in your owners manual.

yup, section 10-4 of your owner's manual.

Auto Transmission Fluid: ATF M-III or equivalent (e.g. Dexron III)

Amsoil ATF is the undisputed auto trans fluid of choice, but it's not cheap
