Question about storing premix in car

So when you guys store your premix in your car, do you carry the bottle of premix or do you store just a few oz's of the premix in another bottle?

If you use a premix and a cleaner like FP+, do you premix the premix and store it?

I ordered two measuring bottles that read up to 16oz... was planning on filling each bottle full with premix and FP+ respectively. then pouring whatever amount down the hatch when filling up...

or could i use one bottle and use like say 3 parts premix to 1 part FP+ and mix it in one bottle and just pour 4oz of the stuff into the tank?

ALSO
how does this stuff react in the cold, i.e. during winter time?

thanks

I store the bottle of premix in the trunk. Tossed the useless "emergency mobility kit" in the trash and use the strap to keep the bottle in place during my uh, spirited driving. The 16 oz measuring bottle I use is tall enough to be held firmly by it. (It's actually a two-stroke measuring bottle I'm reusing.)

I don't use FP+, but I would imagine premixing it with your premix would make sense. It's all going to get mixed together anyway.

Gets a little thicker when it's really cold out, but not so much to make pouring a problem.

I just pour half a 16oz bottle of Redline racing 2 stroke with every tank. That's my measuring system.

I8U, I think you misread his questions. :uhh: :)

^No not really, I store my 2 stroke in it's original bottle and add to the fuel from there. No need to buy any extra bottles, especially if your premixing the right amount...that would be 8oz per tank. Everyone knows that...:)

BTW, I just store in the rear seat pass through cubby hole.

I bought a couple of bottles from a lab supply website, so there is no guess work. Sealed bottles, toss 'em in the center console. Works pretty good!

I ordered two 16oz measuring bottles so I guess I'll be separating the FP+ and Idemitsu and pouring them separately.

I store my 32 oz. bottle of MMO in the pass-through cubby, with my spare quart of motor oil and a few rags. Keeps it fairly upright and no problems with leaks. I'm not into the "mixture of premixes" thing so I can't help you there :). MMO will pour easily at any temperature you're likely to drive in, I would think. :)

I actually add my pre-mix after I get home from filling the tank. Natural fluid convection overnight is plenty of mixing, so I don't carry it in the trunk. I don't carry oil either, again checking when I get home.

On a long trip I would of course bring some supplies tho'.
