please help!
ok so i just installed a sohn adapter and a bhr ignition yesterday and since then my car has stalled 3 time and has been hard to start any ideas? it also bogs down if i get over 6-7k rpms under load.
Plugs are switched up
any way of finding out which is which, when i didnt the install i made sure to keep them separate?
one will have an L and another a T, so leading and trailing..
Make sure the correct wires are going to the correct plug (labeled). Make sure the correct plug is in the correct port
im really really sure i got the spark plugs right i have put 3 sets in the car. also im a auto tech for acura mixing up the spark plugs is something i dont think is possible with them being labeled on the plug its self. :P
since you fix hondas, then you probably did a mistake haha jk, other possibilities is the amount of torque you could have used, and like soldier said maybe the wires are mixed
soldier is there a way to tell which stock plug that goes into the bhr adapter plug is for which plug?
the plug wires should be labeled
i just went and check and i have the plugs right is there a way i could have pluged in the coiles wrong?

Did you make sure that you fastened the ground wire to a good surface. The coils have a ground cable. |
did you ground the wire? Are they torqued down to spec? Are the wires on securely? Did you follow the directions properly?

hmm so you found my thread charles lol, went for a quick drive since i filled up the tank with some premix in it and it doesnt seem to be bogging down anymore or having trouble starting... could it be the sohn adapter isnt feeding enough 2 stroke into the engine?
OP, what do you have for your intake? OEM or aftermarket? Did you remove/replace it properly when reassembling everything?
oem and yes i reinstalled it correctly
2005, only a sohn adapter was installed at the time of the bhr IS
hmm i dont remember giving you codes in the email. its not missfireing that we could tell with our new snap-on scan tool. i didnt remove any tubes when installing the sohn either, even though it was a pain in the ass o install.
also in the instructions for the sohn the last thing was an oil flow test but i could find it anywhere in my manual or online any ideas as to what it is? ill be heading to bed now and will check this in the morning.
Did you disconnect the battery when installing BHR kit?
I know some ppl would when replacing coil/wire/plug. |

The BHR spark plug wires are marked with a Sharpie pen on the gray boots.
@RX8Soldier ..... post tie on the ground wire comment. Paper, Rock, Scissors for the tie breaker .... 3 .... 2 ...... 1 ......... Paper |
ok after driving it this morning and putting it threw its paces after being at operating temp it ran completely fine since i put the premix in the tank, im rather sure that the sohn adapter isnt giving the engine enough 2 stroke any way to fix this? aside frome using the omp mod or adjuster.

Dan, you did not. I received a concerned e-mail from another customer who had those 5 codes at the same time I received your e-mail so I confused the two issues. Sorry about that....... LOL
