i give you guys using such low weights credit, considering 10-30 in summer is like water!! thats why i used thicker weight in summer, started back with my first rotary in 1998, and every rx7 since then.

Ah, I thought your were talking about effects of film shearing on the lubricated parts, not the oil. In that case, I think we're thinking along the same lines. If we have to make a compromise, go with that which favours the rotor seals, which means thinner oil.
