Octane Booster
For supercharged and turbocharged rotary owners:
Are you taking your car to the strip? Pour a can of octane booster into the gas tank and turn up the boost. :) |
I know how NOS works but how long does say 1 shot of NOS last during the boost? And how much more power will be delivered once the NOS has been shot into the engine along with the fuel?
Inquiring minds likes to know. |
well, NO2 lasts as long as you hold down the button... the amount of power you get from yea-much NO2 is hard to know specifically, but when they talk about "50 shot" "100 shot" and stuff like that, it's suppost to be the amount of horsepower you garner from that rate of nitrous flow.
this product that supercharger is pedaling (;)) is just an NOS brand fuel stabilizer... i'm usually very skeptical about such things, but i don't know anything about this one. |
Like Wakeech said, this is not nitrous oxide injection.
Octane booster increases the knock (detonation) resistance of gasoline. For a NA engine, you have to raise the compression ratio to take advantage of high octane gas. |
OOOHHH okay!:D
Muchas Gracias for the info. |
I have used that additive (racing formula in silver bottle) in a few different cars and motorcylces and have noticed an increase in power. It actually contains some nitro methane, for those of you that are unfamiliar you should check it out, it's good stuff.:D
