Non-synthetic or synthetic 2-stroke oil?

I bought a Sohn oil metering pump adaptor and I am getting ready to install it.

I am not sure what type of 2-stroke oil I should be feeding the apex seals and I am curious to know what everyone is running.

Thanks!!!

It does not matter, I will say most 2 stroke oil is fine for the application. Synthetic or not.

I use Idemitsu right now, for hmm maybe almost a year. its a Synthetic Blend.

I used some Full Synthetic stuff before, runs great :)

but I pick Idemitsu over the others because they have more experience in Rotary.

Damn, there are no Idemitsu dealers in Canada I can order from.

I thoguht synthetic oil was bad for the apex seals.

old synthetics are, I haven't seen an 13B-MSP engine die o synthetic engine oil yet,

I use idemitsu also

*Sigh*

Where ? You Thought ?

Most Bad stuff came from Gas, not engine oil.

not to mention Group IV/V oils are more *purify* than the Non-Synthetic Group II oil

Doesnt matter, I dont want to start another debate. You can use whatever you want. I use Royal Purple for engine, and Idemitsu for Premix.

I dont plan to pre-mix.

I will have a resevoir of 2stroke oil feeding the oil metering pump directly.

Im not saying u're premixing.

but thats what they're called, Premix.

Just use it for your Adapter. It works great.

Ok I spent a good hour reading about this issue.

Idemitsu Rotary Premix and Amsoil Saber Pro seem to be the cat friendly oils to use. :)

Can anyone link me a dealer who sells Idemitsu oils? I can't find one!

Also, is it true that the Sohn adapter is good for supercharged rotaries but not for the standard renesis? I am planning to put one in my Rx-8 but I get contrastating comments.

Thanks

ITs good for any applications.

You're in Italy? You have to find out if theres a local dealer there

it will be crazy expensive if u want to ship it from USA to Italy, u better off just buy any 2 stroke oil at ur local dealer

I shipped a case of Idemitsu to NZ and the all up cost (about $30/litre) was the same as I can buy synthetic for ...... You guys don't know how lucky you are .
