Noise when letting clutch out?

Couldn't find on search.

Since new (2006)(now 11K) we hear a clunk-ish type of noise from the drivers-ish side of the engine area (listening from inside while driving) . We ONLY hear this noise when taking off SLOWLY and in either forward or reverse. We ONLY here it while letting the clutch out SLOWLY and applying LITTLE gas. Any other type of start and you don't here it. Normal? Not? Thanks!

Does this happen once when you first start off? If so, that is the ABS system doing some sort of initialization/check. Normal. If it happens every time you start out, then it it something else that would rate a trip to your dealer.

Nope. We're talking only about real slow starts and almost every time. It's not electronic at all (like ABS). It's definately a "physical" type of sound. A quick "clunk" and it's over. If I take off normal or fast there's no noise.

Sounds like this might me an issue with only my 8.

I've been a good boy. I've left the TCS on except once when I wheel hopped. The Z28 ate me which I knew he would. Should have bought a EVO. (Kidding)
