No trailing plug
Long story short... my rear rotor has no trailing plug. The plug fused to the block and in an effort to get it out the coolant line was opened. The whole thing was sealed off so that it wouldn't leak coolant.
Someone suggested putting a "hotter" plug in the leading port to allow more spark to make up for the lack of a trailing plug. Would that do anything? Seems like the computer and the coil would determine how much spark, not the plug. It's gotten to the point where it is misfiring and dying when trying to idle. Anyone have any suggestions other than a new motor/car? That is where I'm headed next. Thanks! |
Uh, wut?
In an effort to remove the trailing plug, you cracked the water jacket? Holy crap! "More spark"? lol The trailing fires on a different schedule than the leading. Time for a new motor. Only option. |
Well...the plug snapped off and while he was trying to extract the remainder of the plug, he slipped and got into the block.
Not what I wanted to hear, but I pretty much figured that was the deal. Thanks! |
