newb vfad question

Is this the long tube directing air to the engine bay?? sorry im still learning.

Spoolin8 10-03-2009 07:37 PM

basically yes, the vfad itself is that box looking thing with the actuator attached that is seen with the front bumper removed.

indica 10-03-2009 07:40 PM

and most remove the tube and box??

nycgps 10-03-2009 07:53 PM

Most will LEAVE the box and tube in place.

Mazda got this intake very right. it balanced both velocity and volume.

sorry still a bit confused. to install cold air doesnt one need to remove the tubing??
