new starter motor--mazda or mazdarotaryparts.com??
Hi
Have an 04 RX and it has started struggling to start when warm My dealer gave me a quote of about £700 to fit the new updated one On MRP.com they quote £250 for new one, but obviously need to get fitted...local mechanic said £50 Has anyone bought stuff from mazdarotoryparts.com in past?? |
Just verify they are selling you the "N3Z1" starter.
Or you can call around to local salvage yards and try to find at least an '06 RX8 that you can get it from. |
Cheers Jon
this is the link to it It even says it is better than the Mazda one http://www.mazdarotaryparts.com/bnew...orb-1471-p.asp |
Of course they are going to say its better... they want you to buy their products :)
But honestly, the starter in that link doesn't look like the N3Z1 upgraded Mitsubishi starter we use. So can't say for sure how well it'll work since the brand and model is unknown. Guess you can try it out and let us know how well it works... it'll be good to know other alternative brands that'll work well. |
Its all just re-manufacture Starters.
Even Mazda don't sell them new anymore. |
So when Mazda quoted me £400 for a new one...it is just a refurb??
