Need a new radiator

Hi,
I recently put a hole in my radiator and was wondering what brand to get?...the car has no uprgrades and isnt going to get any....and ive never had any problem with the oem....or overheating yet

Sounds like you should replace it with stock.

nycgps 11-09-2010 07:48 PM

Just replace it with another stock rad.

stock rad is actually one of the most reliable unit.

My Mishimoto Radiator

I replaced mine that has a 2.5" aluminum core. The dealer quoted me $785 for an OEM radiator. I've had mine for a little over 11 months and haven't had any overheating related problems. I can't tell you if there's a significant drop on temp. but I had to make small adjustments since it's twice as thick as the original.

That was almost a year ago, the sales rep discounted it from $895. I assume that's without labor, so that motivated me to replaced my own instead. It roughly took me atleast two hours to take apart and close to four to put it all together. As you can see in the previous post's pictures how much clearance it took up with the Mishimoto Radiator.

This is what happened to the OEM, which also disabled the electric power steering.
