My AFR data log

I just got the scanalyser and did a few runs while figuring out how to parse the data using MS Excel. Here are 2 consecutive runs in 2nd gear. The charts are a little different because I was tweaking with the Excel settings.

edit: forgot to add my mods...
aem cai
greddy sp2 catback
rx8store midpipe

no other mods, running on 93 octane, N flash (I think that's correct, first letter in scanalyser)

I am not familiar with Lambda. Can someone explain it and can it even be related to AFR?

TeamRX8 04-30-2006 01:45 AM

think of it the same way as increments of Bar for turbo boost

It relates to the amount of Oxygen in the exaust gas...It correlates directly to the A/F ratio if you know the stoich of the fuel you are using....

ie Lamba of 1.00 = 14.6 if the Stoich value of the fuel is 14.6

Second gear is not the best choice to collect data. The acceleration is so quick, and the increase in RPM so fast, you actually remain in transient mode. You'd better try in 4th or 5th gear, as you might see richer AFRs.

I don't have quick access to a track and I am trying to stay legal here :P I could try a 3rd gear run on the interstate though.

Yes, try third gear at WOT from 4k to redline
