the shop will probably not do this man. If they really know the rotary they may--but they more than likely will not.
But in response to your question about what to do--good instructions have been given--once the engine starts just push the clutch in and keep it running. Be sure the person doing the towing knows it is time to stop and be sure they know to stop gradually so you dont hit them in the rear.
It will start-it may not want to idle, but it will start. After keeping it running for a few minutes--then see if it will idle.

HB --- do not try to turn the ignition... there is NO need to engage your starter as that is the point of getting pulled in gear.

No I mean turn the key to the on position. So leave the car until the needle reaches to the middle and take a drive for how long? Do I race the car or use low rpm?

you cant push start this car---it has to be PULLED.
get up to speed--ignition on--in second gear--slowly let clutch out---if the engine starts ( and it will if it is getting spark and fuel) depress the clutch and put the trans in neutral all the while keeping the engine at whatever rpm it will run--2k--3K--4K --it doesnt matter. If the engine sounds smooth try letting it slow down some but dont let it stop.
Please do some self education about how to do this with the RX8---i have a bad feeling..... No offense--you just dont know--people are not born knowing how to do things, i just dont want you to have trouble while trying to do this.
Are there any other rotary people around you?

can be pushed but it would take like 3 people and pull starting is still the better option.
as mentioned if the engine starts press in the clutch while giving it some throttle and slowly let it decrease in RPMs while making sure if it starts to sputter and want to stall that you hold it up and prevent it from stalling out.
once the engine is warm in the middle of the temp gauge for about 3-4 minutes take the car for a drive. take the engine to redline several times and then drive the car normally to see how it drives.

he push I start the car, cuz the starter died last summer. LOL.

i would install the new plugs, wires and coils if you have them. leave the coils disconnected and remove the fuel pump fuse and crank the engine(15 second intervals) for a few minutes while you have the plugs out to dry out the engine since you'll be in there.
starter has no effect on pull starting, so you don't have to do that right now.

A side note:
I failed to pull start another car I had. Later found out that the ground strap for the engine block was shot, so there wasn't any spark at all. Pull starting just bypasses the battery and starter, but you will still need spark and fuel.
Just something to keep in mind, in case you need to go through your grounds to verify them. Accelerated corrosion from the water is entirely viable.

he claimed several times that it has spark and fuel, but if the shop is just forwarding that info we don't know how accurate it really is.
considering they are treating it as a 4 cylinder still i just don't know.
it's as as simple as hooking a timing light to each of the 4 ignition wires and cranking the car and verifying the timing light is triggering off of present spark. fuel is a little more tricky to verify, usually i will spray carb cleaner in the intake and see if there is any change in how the car reacts to cranking it over, popping or attempting to start(if it previously just cranked with no attempt to start then i assume there is no fuel being injected). fuel pressure in the rails doesn't mean anything, the injectors can't be checked easily at all with the exception of a slight voltage drop when backprobing the injectors wires to the ECU(even then the injectors can still be stuck shut).

I want to thank everyone's help...unfortunately it failed to pull start even after new spark plugs. Just ordered a new engine set from Mazmart. A lot of info and lesson learned due to this accident... I would probably just take bus or taxi when it rains hard lol. I've got the full coverage now... hopefully this kind of things won't happen anymore...
