Misfiring all the way?... -_-^

Got ma white 8 last year... around summer...
have MS CAI, highflow CAT, Greddy Exhaust..

went to track and got CEL..checked it by my OBD and
P0302.. the second cylinder(rear rotor) misfiring came up...
at the time I was on the track, I had new spark plugs and plug wire..

about a month ago, I got new coils which is for '06 models...
still got CEL on the highway..

So.. I have my spark plugs changed, plug wire changed and coils changed..

well... one thing I found out how to get CEL on my odometer...
if you press and depress your gaspedal in 3rd gear with around 7500RPM...
you'll get one...
I found this out because of exhaust, I can hear that bogging sound
when I depress the gaspedal rapidly while cruising in more than 6000RPM in
wherever the gear is.....

anyone solved problem?..
should I change my battery?.. or what?...

I mean.. I know that some of you might tell me to use "search"...but..
Everyone has different solutions, so I think we might have to sum it up
and get one definite solution to solve that F$#%ing "RANDOM MISFIRE"...

anyone? :ylsuper:

If its so *Easy* to make your car misfire then ....

make an appointment with ur dealer

Just before you bring ur car in, PUMP the crap outa ur car to make the CEL show .... leave the car there and let them handle the issues.

duh

the reason i asked about the fuel level. is i have several times got that code on a high speed run.. that to me means ~10mph to ~142mph.. everytime it happened i was at less than .25 of a tank..

this will tie in at the end of this post.....

normal reasons to get the code / flashing cel.

in order of how often it happens..

dirty plugs
loose plug wires
bad plug wires
coils going bad
a coil gone bad
more than one coil gone bad.
dirty fuel inj
unreset eshaft

and the other that relates to fuel... here is a link to read about it.. sounds like you might be in the first stages of it...

https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...ight=fuel+pump

also related to this i have read about a bad fuel pump connector that caused the same thing...

there will never be one answer for this..

no the problem is very rare. as is the clutch problem that one is one in 100,000.

i think you need to make sure all recalls were done right. this is a problem for the dealer to figure out...

on the highway did you get a solid or flashing cel?

beers

swoope 01-16-2007 04:57 AM

and how did you check for the cel #?

beers

brokenhelmet 01-16-2007 01:49 PM

I got it on track at first time...
I checked the code # with my Scan...
and... erased the codes since it was annoying...
but.. after 2 weeks.. I got the flashing CEL on highway again...
and... after 3rd time.. it became solid...
