Lucas Oil Stabilizer!!

just changed out the oil in my beater car..the 98 escort with 150,000 miles.. and added lucas oil stabilizer additive... i've never experienced anything like it.. my car went from running like crap..rattling and growling..to being very quiet and picking up horsepower...holy crap! i HAVE TO KNOW....can we use this on the renesis?????? if it does this to this car that has this many miles..i would imagine it majorly extending the life of the rotary if used early in the engine life.... anyone know/care to comment/use it? and thanks in advance..

I wouldn't......

I wouldn't be putting Lucas in MY Renesis......

Check out this little demo-
Lucas Demo

Certain additives can react with each oil differently; Lucas is supposed to provide some 'thickening' and cling, but in this demo, also effectively traps air to make foam. Foam is not a good lubricant, but an engine block full of foam might indeed be "quieter".

i see what one guy did in his garage with his "erector set"...but i can't argue with what it's done with my escort's engine..it's not just quieter..it's shifting better..it's got more power.....if foam is doing it..then i'll leave the foam in! lol... but unless i hear more insight on the subject..or see a demo..probably won't put it in my rx-8 just yet..lol

thanks for the link.

Great for old cars. Not for the RENESIS rotary!!!

k..update..the guy from lucas emailed me back about me asking if their product was available/safe for the rx-8..here it is.

Shaun,
Thanks for your praise, we appreciate that for sure. As for your Mazda,
the Stabilizer will work great for you. You also have a choice now that
includes our Synthetic Oil Stabilizer. This gives you a very low drag
choice with all the benefits of the Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer.
Thanks again.
Sincerely,
John Mingus

i dunno guys..don't be so quick to discount this.. i'm not rushing of to put in my engine yet..but so far it's been nothing but great in my other vehicle.. really
