How many cfps of exhast does the engine put out?
Does any one know how many cfps does the engine put out at idle and wot?

Which would lead me to believe that output rate would be much greater than input rate as you are turning a (relatively) dense material (gasoline) into a far less dense material (gasseous CO, CO2, H2O, N2O, SO2, etc). |

Not necessarily. Air going in is going to be much cooler (and, as predicted by Boyle's Gas Laws, much denser) than what will come out. There's also the relative densities of the gases at similar temps (air v.s. exhaust gasses).
