Help me break in my new renesis...

Can anybody spare some time in explaining me how to brake in my new renesis?
What are the limits, what does the car need?.
Thank you!

Just follow the instructions in the owner's manual and you should be right.
Basically take it easy for a few thousand kms.

If it's a manual, step on the centre pedal. If it's an automatic, its the leftmost pedal. If you want to slow down, press on the brake pedal lightly, if you want to stop, press on it firmly enough that you stop before hitting whatever's in front of you, but not so firmly that you get whiplash. Usually a progressive increase in pedal pressure gives the best results. If it's a manual, you'll need to step on the clutch (the leftmost pedal on a manual) before coming to a stop so as to not stall the engine.

On the other hand, if you're looking for info on how to break-in your engine, there's a nifty book in a zipper case in the glove compartment. Whatever it says, that's what you do.

Thank you mlx8.
That was really nice, see I live in Greece, Athens and I' ve heard a lot of diferend things on how to do it. Tomorow I will drive my rx8 for the first time, so I Have not read the manual yet.
JM1FE why don't you check out on your window to see if I'm coming?.

Don't take it over 6000 rpm while you're trying to catch him :)

-During the first 1000 miles, do not exceed 4000 RPM.
Yeah, right!

You can bring me the keys if that helps :D

Main thing to remember - warm the engine before driving.

Actually, if I remember correctly, our manual never mentioned any specific RPMs, just to vary the revs before 500miles.
