help identifying type of philips head on this screw
Hi guys. Sorry if this thread doesn't belong here.. pulled out some screws from an aftermarket speaker and need to order a few more...
I'm trying to identify what type of philips head these screws are? From wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screw#Shapes_of_screw_head , I guess it's a pan head maybe? Also.. these look like sheet metal screws, correct? Thanks for any help! http://pastehere.com/PasteImages/aajffl.jpg http://pastehere.com/PasteImages/jckifd.jpg http://pastehere.com/PasteImages/pcyeyc.jpg |

what you have there are phillips drive, truss head, self-tapping sheet metal screws in black oxide color. you can get them at any fastenal store, they may not have them in stock but they can order them for you.
I would use basic black oxide drywall screws if i were you tho, looks close to the same and available by the box at even most larger supermarkets! |

I like the idea of using the silver type and painting it black. As a last resort of course. |
