Help discuss what Mid-Pipe this is
|
It doesn't exactly look like a midpipe. The front piece looks like it has a heat shield on it, making that a catalytic converter. I would like to see a higher res picture with a couple of different angles. Maybe one looking into the front to see if there is a honeycomb present.

I think what he was trying to get at was his opinion, you asked and he answered. A few more pictures would help, but either way it looks cheap and doesn't look like a mid pipe to me either.

Nope looks to have a catalyst on it. I think thats the magnaflow replacement cat for our cars.

^^ I would agree. I recently bought one, not installed yet, that looks just like it.
If there's no cat strata, it's probably been gutted. Note the heat burned the galvanized coating on the resonator. |
It is gutted cat so i was just calling it a mid-pipe. Will be interesting to hear how it sounds.

Should sound like a gutted cat lol, loud and raspy. BHR makes a great mid pipe if the rasp is too loud for you.
