Headlight Problem

Hey Everyone,

I took my car into the dealer the other day as the daytime runners were both gone. They replaced them and they worked fine for a few days. Now one works and one doesn't. i called the dealer again and they said they need to replace the daytime running light module. Luck for me my warranty isn't up until the end of the month. So its covered.

Has anyone else had this issue? I ran a search but couldn't find anything.

One....

If one filament goes out, the other will too, the current goes thru both in series.

That's why having just one on is the modules' fault - it is not that a bulb burned out.

In the last three years, I haven't heard of that problem.

I had the same problem...no daytime running lights at all. A buddy I was following noticed it. I brought it into the shop and now I have the auto-levelling light staying on all the time.

Hate to sound like a tool, but which lights does the 8 utilizes for DRL's? Any pics? I may get DRL's for USDM 8.

Don't....

You wouldn't like 'em.

They use the two high beam halogens in SERIES, so they only get 6 volts each - they "glimmer" in a weak ass yellow. Car looks like some old P.O.S. Plymouth with them on!

Just leave the HID headlights on, you will save a little power too! :Freak_ani

Hey, I ran into the exact same problem with my day time running lights! Did you get yours fixed? My warantee expired, and the stupid daytime running light module costs $230 +install. Wonder if i can get it aftermarket and install myself...Any advice?

Check with some of the vendors on this site OR
Disconnect it and wire up the fog lights as DRLs
