Had a CEL today
I left walmart, got in the 8. Started er up, and almost flooded. Then a Check Engine Light comes on ( was about 42degrees, and the car was under 4000rpm before) :banghead: , then I go to AutoZone to see what the CEL was , and it was a crankshaft sensor malfunction. Got back in the car, started up, and no more CEL?
Is this because autozone check to see what hapened, or was it a mistake? Should I go to Mazda and get them to have a look? Or forget about it? Thanks. |
Avoid Walmart :spank:
They cleared your CEL when they read your code. If it doesn't come back then the dealer probably won't have a clue |
If is doesn't come back... don't worry.
If you have a problem the cel will come back. You can clear it again. Then if she comes back you have a problem. Kind of strange how the car will tell you if there is something wrong uh? Got to love computers, but need to know how to use them. |

I wouldn't even trust Wal Mart to change my Air Valve covers on my RX-8 |
do the 20 brake taps to reset your E-shaft's profile.
