Grease leaking from line connecting to brake caliper?

Hi All,
I was changing my brake pads today, the front pads went ok, but on one of my rear calipers, I noticed that there was some grease (at least I think it is grease) coming out of the rubber lining, the one that the 14mm screw goes into to hold the caliper on to the brake. Can anyone confirm that it is grease and not something else and do I need to take this in to the dealer to have it looked at. I didn't see anything in the DIY section about this. Thanks in advance for the help!

You are seeing some of the grease on the caliper slide bolt......does the boot have a tear in it?? If not you are probably OK...to be sure......re-lube the slide...

grease

My '07 RX8 is only 4 days old and I already have a little grease on the front right caliper.

My stock brake calipers had slide lube all over them after the first really intense track day...the calipers got so hot...that the "grease" was like water...and ran out all over.

If they get really hot you need to service them often...or they will seize up....

The grease is on the opposite side of the where the screw goes in. I didn't see a tear in the rubber sleeve. I'll go back tomorrow and take a good look at the sleeve to double check. Thanks for the advice!
