Getting my windshield replaced...
well it seems that I don't have much luck with this car. I went to go wash her the other day and I notice a huge crack in the windshield. It starts at the bottom of the window and makes a backwards question mark into the middle of the window. the crack is very noticeable and right in my view. so luckily i have glass coverage with my insurance company and it is getting replaced on wednesday. there is a mobile window replacement place coming to my house to do it. well is there anything i should be worried about or should be looking out for?? will i get a similar piece of glass as the oem???and has anyone else had to do this and what is your result??? thanks

I had to pay for mine since my deductible was more than the windshield. My sure they put the inspection / registration stickers back. If they can do the job in a garage or shade it will 'set' better. Make sure the installer wears gloves, no skin should touch the new windshield. For some reason it was important that they know if I had the auto dim rear view mirror. If they didn't ask you that question bring it up.

Had mine replaced a couple years ago. Turned out fine. If it isn't raining in your area, use a spray hose to check for leaks. Don't get crazy with it, just like you were washing the car.
