Gas smell in Oil, Driver's Seat Creak

My RX8 has 1500 miles on it. I changed the oil myself at 900 miles.

I now have a distinct, but not overpowering smell of fuel in the oil when checking it and wiping the dipstick. There is no discoloration of the oil and it still appears clean.

The RX8 is my first Rotary. Is the fuel smell in the oil a normal trait of the Rotary or something I should give to my (inexperienced) local Mazda Dealership?

Seat Creak: When aggressively cornering to the right, my seat has started to creak and the seat back seems to be loose. I can find no fasteners loose.

Has anyone else experienced either of this issues?

Thanks, Bob J.

I have the driver's seat creak. At first I thought it was a suspension component. Seems to be worst when cold.

I had the d seat creak. Take it to your dealer and show them. Mine fixed it. Tightened everything and no creak! :)

rotaries due suffer from alot of fuel dilution... the smell shouldn't be of much concern, mine smells a bit as well < shrug >
