Gas Line Leaking
Hello I have a leak in my Fuel Line I need to know where I can buy one besides the dealer and what is it called.
I found this picture below on RX8 clubs site and it has the fuel line I need it is in blue. Dont mind the red and green that was with the picture when i saved it. http://img261.imageshack.us/img261/5513/leak2jr2.jpg Thanks U1cracka |
Unless you really know what your doing you should not mess with the fuel system. Take it to the dealer, That cannot cost more than a car fire.

Thanks I have worked on cars and boats all my life so it should not be a problem. I just need to know what it called So I know what to look for and where to get one.
Thanks U1cracka |
That looks like a simple rubber line bent to fit. shouldnt take more than taking it off and going to a reputable auto parts store and getting one of the same diameter & length. should be an easy fix that i would think someone that has been working on cars and boats his entire life would recoginize and have done in 5 minutes.

Your asking for trouble if you DIY and it catches fire... |

Will my warranty still cover it. There is a picture below Of how i fixed It to get home. It was leaking bad before i fixed it now it does not leak at all. http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/8862/dsc02392wg1.jpg Thanks U1cracka |

Yes It is Thanks for the help Where did you find that I looked and could not find anything do you have a direct link to it. |
good job nycgps. i could not find the part on mazdaonline either....
beers  |
I found it because I've read the parts maunal b4 (like 5-6 times)
I remember there was a page just for fuel lines. then I start reading it again. Im not *100%* sure if its the right page but I think Im close. ITs OEM Catalog so its not listed on onlinemazdaparts site, but you can search for the direct part number and it will show up. and as always you can leave BAGMAN1 a PM and see if its the right part. |
I found it.
Stuff you'll need to read Page 30-32, and 140 It tells you where the fuel comes from. and the part you need should be on page 30. |

no it will not cover a hose that you cut..
I once owned a 1980 VW Rabbit that had a problem with the fuel pump wiring. The connector at the fuse panel was too small to handle the current. After cleaning it a few times (including once in the rain in the middle of Ohio) I shoved a piece of brass tubing through the fuse panel and soldered the connections on each side. VW eventually had a TSB and recall on the problem. They replaced the fuse panel, no charge. It was fun seeing the look on the tech's face. :lol2: Ken |
