Fuel filter

Do people ever change it? I haven't heard much about it

The reason you don't hear about people changing it, is because it's part of the fuel pump itself. Some of have taken the pump out to clean the sock itself.

I was wondering.

Would it be possible to remove the in-pump filter and install an in-line filter instead?
