Finally Got my BHR Ignition Kit
 

In the past I had two issues with misfires (rapid flashing CEL, code P301/302). Both times happened at about 7,500 RPMs and during very hot days. Mazda "took" care of it under warranty. They didn't do much, replaced one of the coils i think.

I knew I didn't want to use OEM ignition components again, so I decided to give the BHR kit a try. BHR is local to me here in AZ, so Charles R. Hill built a kit for me and also did the install. Hell of nice guy by the way.

Now that I got to see one of these kits, I have to say the overall designed is very well engineered. The bracket system and the wiring harness are very well put together. > Very impressed with the quality of it. Here's my new kit on the floor, I even scored one of those BHR flying monkeys, lol.

As soon as I started the car after the install was completed, I noticed that it started way faster than before, even with a five year old battery. So I was glad to see that.

There is a noticeable difference in throttle response, especially in the 5,000-7,500 RPM range. I had gotten so used to the OEM components that I thought my car responded the way it was supposed to. But now that I have something to compare it to things are better than before.

Now I understand why there are so many positive reviews on this kit. Hopefully no more misfires in the future, plus I really like the way it feels when I press on the gas pedal. Also, dealing with Charles R. Hill was a good experience, excellent customer satisfaction:biggthump

U noob, u should change ur ignition compoments more often, i havent had misfire for couple of yrs :lol:

Although i never had bhr kits, i believe is good. And crh is probably 1 of the coolest guy i know, but i hate him cuz i never got that monkey :(

With OEM coils some people never experience misfires. Hey, some people never experience misfires with coils from autozone. But, i was one of those unfortunate souls that had misfires:tear: , although it was only a couple of times literally. So I am glad about the upgrades.

The BHR kit is not a hack/ghetto type of thing. If you ever get one I'm sure you'll be impressed with both the quality of the product and the performance improvements it gives.

And true, Charles is a cool person; very costumer service oriented. I think the flying monkeys are reserved for local costumers now, haha
