Fan position on center dash readout
I just noticed this issue this morning. On the center dash readout (where the radio info is) I noticed to the left of the diagram of the way the ducts are blowing is a symbol for a fan and what looks like to be several bars to the right of that. I have never had this show at all. I am just seeing it because of the way the sun was hitting it this morning. No matter what I do, it does not show. I assume it is to show how fast the blower is blowing inside the car.
Anyone have this? |
Mazda uses the same LCD readout for the car.. Some models have auto Climate control......hence extra stuff in the display that isn't always used
|
that indicator works with 8s that have auto climate contorl- like UK for instance.
|
I believe it is for non US-spec 8's. Its cheaper to mass produce 1 for all the 8's.
|
That was quick! Thanks...just making sure that I do not have anything broken...

you know people say that and for the most part its true BUT- if it were so in this case than it would follow that it would be cheaper to just put auto cc in all of the cars going to every country (or at least offer it in a package) then to have a different system just in the US and Canada. |
Yeah but there's a big difference between the LCD wich is probably all of 5 bucks to make, vs the added electronics for auto-ac to function. Why they dont offer it ehre I do not know, but then again some of the US vs Canuck packages make no sense either.

agreed ^^

the same readout is used in the 6 as well... and since our 6 has climate control that part lights up
