Exhaust remove
 

Ok guys first off please dont take my ignorance for stupidity as i do not know much about it. Thats why im coming to you guys for help.
My friend had a Rx8 and he took his exhaust off and it sounded pretty good and he also said it gained a few hp not much but a bit.
I have a 2004 Automatic. I wounder how to remove the exhaust. Can you run just straight headers or what not and by removing it is any light gonna go off in the panel? Also is there gonna be any hp gain?

A reputable exhaust would only give you a 3-4hp gain, if that.
Notice I said reputable, that's because the stock exhaust on the Rx-8 is actually pretty good, same with the intake, and 99% of the parts on the car.

Which is why I don't purchase aftermarket parts without conducting extensive research on the Rx8club by hitting the search button! :SHOCKED:
