Exedy master cylinder replacement
Exedy master cylinder replacement
Has anyone done this before, couldn't see anything in search.
For some reason the exedy replacement has a much longer attachment that ends in a 90 degree bend. The original clutch hydraulic line is metal though so it can't connect to the exedy master.
Does everyone just replace the original line when they swap out the master cylinder? If so really annoyed the master was sold without a braided line.
Thanks for any guidance you guys might have.

Did you buy it from Rock Auto? I know there's a thread where it advises on a certain MC not to go with due to fitment issues. I think there's a specific part number to go by but otherwise I would stick with getting it from a reputable Mazda parts seller like Atkins and Mazdatrix so they send you the exact OEM replacement. They are actually not too expensive when you compare the price to aftermarket one's.

When I searched for the part this came up more often than the oem one.

That's the part im talking about
It's crazy no one on here has used this exedy master cylinder replacement because when I googled it was everywhere as opposed to the oem one was only listed at a couple of places.
If anyone has any other ideas I'm all ears. I'm trying to find a 90 degree adapter to see if I can get the hard line to fit but even that is proving difficult.

I have (for sale not installed) a LUK LMC447 master cylinder that looks identical to the link you posted except the black plastic hose barb is 180degrees to the exedy.
The OE unit from Atkins matches the LUK in design.
The link you posted says for 2004-2005; maybe it was changed? What year is your car

So the issue is the exedy slots on perfectly for a LHD car but I'm in Australia. I ended up replacing the hard line with a braided line in order to get it to fit.
