error code p0031

I crushed a few wires running to the o2 sensors a while back but have I checked and double checked the wires and still I'm getting the cel P0031? can anyone tell me the proper voltage leading to the 2 white and 2 black connectors running along the tranny. Also what else could cause this code? We omed(sp?) the wires and found that 2 were broken but we solidered them together and still I have the code the other wires omed fine and looked good.

Error is for front O2 sensor heater circuit.....

might need a new sensor....

wouldn't that be a differant cel? P0031 is for low voltage only right?

Did you check for continuity after you soldered them?
If so, did you check it against a wire that wasn't broken?
If you broke a wire, it would have been better to butt-splice the ends together and then wrap the wire.
I'm assuming you did wrap/electrical tape the wires after you soldered them.

O2 heater issues are cut and dry. The low voltage is what the PCM monitors THROUGH the sensor.

Dan is right. Change the O2.

BTW this will not cause a LFT/SFT issue. It is strictly a heater issue.

wtf I uninstalled the AP this morning and rode around all day with no cel. And just food for thought the car drove like ass and kept trying to die every time I stoped. After reinstalling my AP not more than a half mile down the road the cel came back??? Also when I first installed the AP my fans were always running but after I crushed the wires they have not been running near as much. I attributed that to the exhaust system I put on at the same time figuring it was letting the hot air out better but now my fans are running again everytime I shut the car off. Is it possible the AP has gone bad I'm not getting AFR,LTFT,STFT but everything else is working?? Also where can I get a new front O2 sensor the local parts store wants $300. Is there a universal type? I can get and AFR guage with a new wideband o2 for that price? I'm also still looking for the volt specs for the little plugs.
