Engine problem! Help!
 

Guys!

I have my 8 running for almost 26000km and I started to realize that my engine is loosing power! In fact I had it fixed last time at my 20k service. The tech told me they have to replace the fuel filter and new spark plug. And it was ok for around 2k and it start loosing power agin. The engine works fine until 5k rpm above. It doesn't really wanna rev and lets face it, its an rotaty and why wouldn't it rev? The peak is at 8500 rpm anyway... so anyone could explain?

PS: I only change K&N replacement filter for the engine and there is nothing else!

I chage oil at factroy everytime too!

Nop! And the engine sounds fine....They told me the fuel is not good but they are just shell!?

sound like timing being retarded at high rpms... have you change gasoline since or are you still on the same tank? notice any pinging at high revs? i wonder if its really just bad gas...

The service guy actually dried my tank and filled in with new fuel. I am living in HK and the octane is 98 here so I think the fuel is actually not so bad... U think is the cat problem? I heard no pinging noise or any abnormal noises from the engine bay... May be is the temp because is bloody summer here rite now. They told me the spark plug was burning bad and they have changed my fuel filter and spark plugs and reset the ECU. :confused:
