Engine Longevity

So, I've got a Mazda remanufactured engine and I want to extend its' live as long as possible.
I've got the omp setup to inject 2 cycle oil.
I'm also premixing every fillup.
I'm running upgraded ignition coils.

Is there anything I'm missing?

get rid of the cat. other than that its a crap shoot

I've extended the life of my engine by never driving the car.

Get a device like scangauge, good box or an OBD scanner and collect data on your engine. Fuel consumption, fuel trim, temperature, that kind of thing. It will help you catch problems before they manifest more apparently.

Has premixing been proven to extend longevity ?

Scientifically? No.

But there is some logic behind why it probably does.

Increasing OMP rate is probably a good plan, as well.

I got a BlueTooth scanner - Torque. Though, I haven't tried monitoring the fuel trims. I'll look into that. I've got a water temp gauge to keep a constant eye on that.

Makes perfect sense. My first rotary was an 86 RX7 na and that engine was pretty much bullet proof. My turbo rx7 not so much because of all the added heat of the turbo. But I always assumed that the rx8 should be just as reliable as the 13b na since they're non-turbo so long as you perform the required ignition upgrades(the original coils on my turbo rx7 worked perfectly fine for 28 yrs-I have no clue why Mazda couldn't get that right in the rx8).
Then I found a post by rotaryresurrection I think. It seems that in an effort to better deal with more and more restrictive emissions standards, the later roatary cars injected less oil-which would increase wear and contribute to or cause loss of compression, loss of power, hot starting issues, etc.
I've been premixing only (deleted omp) on the rx7 for a little over 10 yrs and have had no internal wear-related issues.
I'm gonna try premixing in the rx8 -- also gonna look into if it;s possible to up the amount of oil injected by the omp.

Do mod no2 and you wont need to premix : https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-tec...9/#post4872229
