Engine disasembly Issues

Hi all ,
Firstly apologies if this dose not belong here, I am in the process of stripping the engine on my RX8 for a full rebuild everything has gone ok so far. until now and I've come to a little bit of a problem and was wondering if any one can offer any guidance.

the Front pulley lock bolt that needs to be taken of to remove the bypass valve and front housing before removing the fly wheel seems to be pretty tight. now the flywheel lock bolt i have been able to loosen no problem and that suppose to be 350lbs

but before i can move forward i need that pulley bolt off now i have already snapped one 1\2 bar trying to remove now my logic would state that because the fly wheel nut was anti clockwise to remove the pulley bolt should be clockwise. but none of the workshop manuals say which clockwise or anti.

has any one else had problems getting this off as its only a 19mm bolt so i wouldn't of thought it be that tight

i was using a 3 foot extension bar at the time and still no movement

any help would be great and apologies again if this is in the wrong place

thanks in advance

U need to heat it up before removal, otherwise not even 1000 lbs can move that bolt cuz its loctite from factoy. A small propane torch for 1 mintue on the bolt will be enough

As for orentation, same as any other bolt.

That is the only way I could do it. large breaker bar inside a 4 foot pvc pipe in case the bar snapped.

I had two people pulling/hanging on it while another stood on the stand and stabilized the stand/engine.

thanks everyone for the advice , i wish i had a high impact wrench lol would of made the job a lot quicker and easier lol . just have to stick the the breaker bars , just to confirm it is anti clockwise like any other bolt

Thanks

that's a NOOOOOB way to do it. rofl.

me, propane torch for 1 minute, turn with my 19mm socket and regular breaker bar (1 and 1/2 foot I think) DONE. :D
