Engine code p0850

I was driving my car home last night and my engine light came on. I checked for codes and this is what i got "P0850. Park/Neutral Switch Input Circuit." anyone else have this issue before? and what did you do to fix it? i do drive a manual not a automatic. i did some research and dont find it to be a big problem esp since i drive a manual but then again maybe im wrong. any info would be great thanks. should only be a code for an automatic transmission maybe i need an ecu update? idk.

nope it is real. it does happen. the part is about 50 bucks and is easy to change.

if you have not had a weird idle hunt in neutral you will get one soon.. it will hunt from ~800 to 1200 rpm..

Easy to Change? Dealer told me $415 to replace on my 06, and he may have to drop the transmission down a little to get at it. I found one for $54.00 and want to change it myself, but not if I have to lower the tranny. Where exactly is it located?

I got the same code on my car. Could it be that the connectors are just switched?? I know the car is supposed to have two. One black one white. But for some reason I have double that. Unless I'm looking at the wrong thing. Any help? Thx. :)
