drive belts..?
hey all,
I installed the SR pulleys yesterday and was wondering how tight I should keep the belts at?Is there a simple rule-of-thumb?They are pretty tight but I dont want them to tight. thx, shark |

Tightness is usually expressed as x amount of deflection with y amount of pressure at the midpoint of the belt. Should be in the shop manual.

They specify a special tool to measure the tension and deflection... but I'm sure you can find something at the autoparts store (or just wing it : ).
