DIY website, check them out

I'm in the process of renovating my personal website. I've put together several DIY pages that relate to the RX-8 and will continue to add material as I work on the car. Comments and suggestions always appreciated.

To be honest your Valentine V1 DIY is a little lacking, DIY usually explain every little detail and provide many more pictures, do you have any more pictures that can help explain what your doing? But none the less its great!

My thoughts were DIYs provide all the information required to do a mod w/o any additional reference. Which part do you consider lacking?

Good stuff Robin! I might call you up when I need to ask you something about installing new springs. I'll probably do it around Spring break. I think I still remember the stuff you taught us when we did Murix's RB springs, but I'll keep your number handy ;)

I think jniamehr is expecting a beginning to end kind of DIY. Your DIY is designed for those who know what they are doing but just need references without prying open and figuring it out themselves. I won't be using the consealed V1 display, but your DIY still helps me prepare what I need to do when I hardwire my V1 this weekend. This is going to my bookmarks. Thanks!

I admit the end part is incomplete, but that's because I haven't finished installing the concealed display. :) Otherwise I thought it was pretty detailed and complete enough for a novice to attempt it. At least that was my intention--if it isn't that's exactly the sort of feedback I'm looking for. That's also why I used bigger photos, to make things a little easier to make out.

I don't know if I have all my coilover install pictures. If not, your install will be a great place to take additional photos.

Excellent Robin! Can you do us all a favor and create a thread linking to each DIY you've done so that people who scan the DIY forum titles looking for something will find your site and DIYs?

I found:
  • Brake rotor and pad replacement
  • Cabin air filter
  • Mazdaspeed body parts
  • Replacement clutch part list
  • RX-8 Shop Manuals
  • Valentine1 hardwire and concealed display

Thanks....

Your shop manual links are easier to navigate than the site I pay hundreds of dollars a month to access..

Great work.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I am accepting donations--namely if you feel my work has helped you then pay it forward and try to help out some other guy.
