Without reading the whole thread I'm not sure if anyone actually has tried an electric pump or not ?
A local here fitted one recently and is a regular race competitor - can find out more details if anyone is interested ? |

I've had mine installed for 3-4 years at least...works great. I have so many other things different I wouldn't really be able to tell you what would happen with it and a stock rad setup

Not sure if anyone is still going to read this old thread but I just ordered my whole kit. the davies craig pump with controller and the rx8 performance adapter kit. my biggest question and concern right now is a proper size belt now that there’s no pulley there. any help would be great.
If the stock belt is too long then cut it and then tape it to get the correct length... or cut it and add to get the correct length... then measure it and get the belt. You can buy them in multitudes of different lengths from auto parts stores |

Best thing to do is to get things installed and then measure for the correct belt length.

I run mine off the ECU ( not stock)... but it is mostly on full speed all of the time. Its a track car so no reason to run it slower.

for a street car you should buy/use the Davie Craig controller for proper warmup and control.

Hi, we run the Davis Craig EWP on our track car here in Australia, the standard alt belt still fits without any mods, we also run the controller set at 85 degrees C and the we dont see any temps above 90 degree C.
We fitted our pump inline in the bottom rad hose, it fitted perfectly no probs. |
