Dealer used wrong Oil!!
I took my car to the dealer for an oil change. Picked it up after hours and looked at the receipt after I got home. It states that they used 10-w30 oil in the car.
My question is, does driving the car with this oil cause damage to the engine? I have already gotten it drained and refilled with the correct oil. But will there be any lasting damage to my engine? Thanks, Neil |
NO,
I think you over reacted a bit. 3,000 on 10-w30 would not blow up your engine. Also the dealer could have used 5-20 but their computer system prints 10-30. That's what happened to me once. |
