the pictures are listed below. should this hose be plugged into this valve? should this green plug be plugged in? what is the purpose of this hose? what am i plugging in by connecting the green plug?

you should be able to see them. checked my privacy settings just now. everything's wide open for public viewing.

looks right now. not sure about the tube though.

the green plug is the sensor for your vacuum. looks right. The hose, i think, goes to the secondary vacuum inlet.

can you follow it and see what else it connects to?

That is correct JOLIET WANKEL.
The green harness is plugged into the VFAD solenoid and the hose is now connecting the solenoid to the vacuum chamber (which is that 'barrel' device you see in the "before" pic).
If you were to follow past the vacuum chamber, you should have a check valve and then the hose connects to a nipple behind the throttle body.
