control system for turn on to instant turn off
 

I have been doing a lot of brainstorming on the issue with rotaries about turning them on and a few seconds later turning them off before the motor is completely warmed up which in turn causes flooding.
Ill be sitting around 'trying' to come up with a schematic on how you could possibly have the coolant temp sensor (or something that knows when the motor comes to normal operating temps) control when the car turns off
(like a turbo timer, but it wouldnt be timed, it would cut off once engine was warm enough).

I couldnt find anything on this, or if anybody has come up with it, but what i have come up with so far, in a very general form, is the engine would cut off once the coolant temp sensor reads normal temps, and if last case scenario, you just have to cut your engine off before the car can be completely warmed up, you can have a kill switch to cut the motor off.

can you guys see any problems that this may cause, issues people would run into?

and big thing, if this is possible, can someone cure my writers block on how to create a system like this? if it is safe of course

Knowing that the engine has an issue with cold shut downs, I'd wondered why Mazda didn't implement something like this and the only answer I can come up with is the liability issue since you can't leave the car in gear as well as have the hand brake deployed (to be honest, this is the only Mazda I've ever owned where the parking brake wasn't entirely enough to hold the car on a hill all by itself). Of course, for AT owners, that's not an issue, and especially given the issues that AT owners seem to have with their engines not getting warm enough for best reliability, this seems like a natural modification to improve reliability.

That being said, I am interested in this idea of yours and had been speculating about something like this as well.

out of curiousity, when you turn the ignition key to off, what is turned off to make the motor cut off?

Computer shuts down injectors and spark.

That's not normal. Mine holds quite well.

I'll try adjusting it and see if it helps. Thanks. At least I now know it's not something I just have to live with.
