Clearing crud off the AC Concenser / Radiator.

A shout out to the guys who helped me with my "whats this part I don't have question in another thread" You guys on RX-8 Club rock. I'm not worthy!!!

I saw a youtube video by a guy with a really nice looking 04 with 125k miles on the original engine and he said that cooling was why this car was his reliable daily driver. I have an 04 with the same mileage but has a "replaced" engine (Thats all I know)

MY NEW PROBABLY DUMB ASS QUESTION:
The AC Radiator (Condenser) looks pretty clogged with a circle of dirt/crud in the middle and of course air has to pass through it to get to the radiator. Now, I'm not that concerned about the AC because my plan is to drive with the windows and sun roof open so I can blast some loud Weezer or Greenday music but air has to get through one to get through the other.

This might sound a tad Hillbilly (I don't have a working air compressor handy right now) so... History - I work on old windows AC units and I take the rusty cover off and use a garden hose with a good nozzle and from the inside (engine side if I do this with my car) of the AC (Spraying from the inside out) I can fix most weak or dead window Air conditioners by hosing all the dirt and crud out. As the guy who taught me this "Its almost NEVER that the freeon has leaked out. This is what they say to sell you new crap!" *If you ever do this with an old window unit also look for the wire or switch that (often) melted when the condenser became packed with crud.

So I was about to get up and do this on my 04 RX8 and thought maybe ask some people with actual experience with the car. I soooo "F"ing don't want to screw this up. This is only the second car I've owned that I think of as anything more then a way to get places. My RX-8 is a love affair.

I know this is whiny please hold my hand crap but what do you think? I plan to take some plastic trash bags to try to cover as much of the Engine components as possible. Am I going to "F" up things in another unobvious way? Or should I just get off my ass and fix my home built air compressor? *Note the garden hose way of cleaning old window units works a lot better then using air in my experience. Its amazing how much "mud" comes out of them and how amazing they work after having been someones "Free" at the curb garbage.
