Cheaper front o2 sensor?

Hey guys, well, when replacing my greddy turbo I think I might have killed my front o2 sensor. Well, the front are pretty expensive. Is there anyone out there running something besides OEM thats a bit cheaper and doesn't throw codes? I can splice in another one pretty easily.

I've already searched the forums but haven't got any solid information on any front o2's that work.

talk to mazmart.
you really don't want some generic aftermarket O2 sensor, especially on a boosted car

And ask a mod to please move this thread to the right section =)

Well if your broke like I normally am, uh there is always salvage.

Maybe you should back up and explain to us how you came to "think" it is broken.

The best way to save money is by not fixing things that aren't actually broken ....

P0130

Contacts are all clean, clicked it in a few times, only one I removed. also. I think when my turbo blew, It probably blew hot steamy oil over it. Also the fact that my turbo was not moving causing a restriction, I can't really imagine the amount of heat in that pipe.

I didn't bump the o2 sensor or anything when it was out. Just probably gave out finally. I would sea-foam 2x a year, Beginning of summer, and end of summer. And I've flooded the engine a couple of time. I'm sure putting a little atf into the Rotor to regain my compression from the flooding didn't help it either.

Car still runs ok. but I definitely notice a lack of power.
Had to port my wastegate because it was overboosting up to 13 PSI.
Now it's sitting comfortably at 4 PSI and I can control the boost up to 11 Psi. Much more stable. Lesson Learned. could have been an engine >.>

The front one is more expensive because it's a wideband sensor. Most cars run widebands nowadays for front sensors. The rear is just a regular old style heated O2 sensor.

P0130 is not a guarantee for a bad O2 sensor. You have to perform a proper analysis. Simply spending money on parts guesses is hillbilly mechanics 101.

First, go to the PROPER FORUM AREA and SEARCH. Not only is there good info on the code issue, you will also see firsthand all the disasters from trying to save money using a cheaper aftermarket front O2 sensor. Before you buy or replace anything the proper analysis needs to be done.
