Borla and warranty
 I just realized something. I just got my 8 used with 11700 miles on it. When I got it, I remember hearing a deeper tone from the back. To my suprise the previous owner had installed a complete Borla catback exhaust system.
I signed all the papers and stuff and I did sign warranty papers (the car is still under 50K warranty). But, I have this gut wrenching feeling my warranty has been voided, AND I BOUGHT IT WITH THE EXHAUST SYSTEM!!! The Borla system is 50 state legal if I'm not mistaken. I still passed VA emissions though. But, seriously, is my warranty gone? Sorry if this is a stupid question. |
Don't take any chances... send the borla to me and I'll take care of it.... :)
An exhaust alone will not void your warranty, unless the exhuast was the direct cause for a particular engine failure. I don't think you'll have a problem. |
I dunno, I've heard having an aftermarket exhaust can result in burnt exhaust valves. :P

dang good thing we dont have any.

Oh well, I think I'll go up to Mazda this weekend. I've got to get a flash or something. My gas mileage (OH NO, I SAID GAS MILEAGE) is a little below normal. Haven't totally calculated it, but I don't think it's over 15mpg.
