Ok guys i have my other thread on my Tomei 2 way Install. when I pulled it apart i found shrapnel's of metal guess what! its blown.

Next time your gonna swap oils take a magnet and stick it in the drain and try to find these. It's common on the MX5 forums since they use the same style LSD clutch cone type.

Also my car is a 2008 i found 3 pieces luckily it didn't damage my ring and pinion. if your car starts acting like a open diff you got a problem!

Good Luck!

Also you will not notice any grinding or noises. But be prepared for it to get lodged in between gears

Bump! waiting for at least another person to confirm this problem.

You have chunks of metal in your diff and you are questioning if it has blown up :-) ?

That would be yes. .....

No I'm asking if anyone else has the same problem. It is blown, I tried to do a simple u turn drifting and one wheel got most of the power. Sucks but now my tomei 2 way locks up pretty sweet!

Sorry to bring back an old thread, but this just happened to me today. I took a hard right at an autocross and the inside wheel just lit up. Striaghtline power is great, but right turns are open diff. Right turns act as normal. Very strange. Any suggestions before I tear into it?
