Anyone familiar with the renesis Intake manifolds?

Need to know what procedures/plan of action to open the second intake manifold on my 05 rx8. Due to a bad day at work I had to get an automatic transmission. The only problem is that they closed one of the intake manifolds (ergo the almost 40hp drop) want to open that back up, need to know how to do it. Planning on adding twin turbos this winter as well. Any info will be appreciated.

Your going to need an electric drill, and some krazy glue.

Wouldnt it be easier to buy a motor out of a MT version and do a swap?

not easier, the only way.

the motors are differnt, different housings, transmissions, intake system, ect... ect.

hes right that there are 2 less intake ports...but its not just like they plug the 2 ports and put on a differnt intake manfold....they are 2 totaly differnt engines, and really 2 totaly differnt cars.

In reality its easyer to just sell/trade in the auto and get a 6 speed. Should have waited to see if the 6speed higher power auto was coming out this year.

I would guess by 'bad day at work' he was injured on the job and cant drive stick?
