ANy companies making a 20b MSP yet?
i looked up 20bs and they r all periferal (sp) port exhaust.
anyone making a side port 3 rotor yet? |
You talking about 3 rotor with Side Exhaust port ?
Nope, no one has one. plus I dont think its really possible to even make one with side exhaust port. |
A MSP 20B could be made, but one of the intermediate housings would have to have a large exhaust port for the center rotor, otherwise it would be at a big airlfoow disadvantage compared to the other rotors. that would have to be custom designed and machined, so big $$$$ there. I wouldn't count on mazda putting a turbo on a rotary anytime soon, much less bolting on another rotor.
|
i dont see how it could be difficult. the intermediate housing on the msp isnt one hole until the last like 1/2 inch. since its both rotors exhaust meeting into one....why not slightly enlarge BOTH intermediates' exhaust ports instead of one? thats it, im calling mazda!
|
Heat might be an issue ?
|
there's no way you can make the intermediate exhaust ports as large as the end ports..otherwise each rotor would have a large end port and a small center port, except the center rotor which would have two small ports. your motor would never run right.
|
what about a 4 rotor. literally combine two 13b msp? instead of a front end plate on the front of one of them, make it an intermediate housing and run 2 more?????? should i just give up now??????!!!!!!
im gonna put a pencil and paper to it and see where i go. |
lol..actually i think that would be more feasible than a 3 rotor (in the traditional sense of a 3 rotor)
Someone somewhere actually bolted two 13B's togother. They made a custom eshaft and front plate that allowed them to bolt it to the eshaft of the other motor. But then you run into HUGE packaging issues (ie - it'd probably only fit into a chrysler cordoba...at least it has corinthian leather!) since it's more than double the length of a 13B |
yeah prolly pretty long, but a 26b msp would work tho! someone should do that!
|
somebody with more money, time, and patience than probably exists ...
