Annoying sound RX8
 

hello im new here.. i have a problem with my 05 stock 29k rx8.. when ever i drive i always get this annoying sound from the car i dunno how to explain the noise but its almost like ur in an airplane u know..... like wooooowooooo lol i wonder if the sound came from my tires? or somewhere els i dunno car that much an idea? =(

Was is a high or low pitched "wooowoooo"?

Is is a consistant "woooowoooo"?

Does the "woooowoooo" occur a higher or lower rpm's.

Does the "woooowoooo"? go away when you stop?

Does anything else accompany the "woooowoooo"? Like a "doo wop" or "ditty dum ditty doo"?

its a low pitch sound like inside an airplane i dont think its cuz by the engine even if im just rolling my car the sound comes i felt like its my tires.. but i dunno is it or not err

does your 8 quiet when its rolling in nutral or it has a running sound

if it's a loud "humming" noise then it's the tires. mine are loud as hell too.

yay theres someones like me!! im not as scared =) do u think if i change the tires will the noise go away? u know i dont wanna waste hundreds for getting new tires for nothing..

no, i don't have the oem tires on mine anymore. i had a set of all-season avons put on since i live in ohio. i still have the noise. i'm not sure but i think it has to do with how wide the tires are and that they are directional tires.

do u have that noise when u first bought ur 8? cuz i got mine 2nd hand.. man i hated the sound so much!! >[

thats what ive been doing to cover that noise up :lol2: ehh im gonna get new tires now hope the noise will go away.. winters coming anyways the stock tires SUX shit in winter cant even move!

Id say i know the exact noise your speaking of..

I thought it was tires, though rx8s have alot of sound material in the guards to soak up such noise. Also i went from stocks to now my 20s and still the same noise.

I put it down to either noisy wheel bearings, or yeah jus tyre noise making its way into the car.

yes, any performance tire "sucks" in winter.

There is a big difference between worn OEM tires and new ones. You only really appreciate it after you can hear the difference.

are there anyways get rid of those noise? IT SUX


im thinking of putting an supercharger system on my 8.. good?

have u guys found a solution to this... cuz im getting it as well now... its a sharp buzzing noise coming from my tweeters. and it gets pretty annoying/irritating... esp when im going fast... not cross wiring... im guessing its the player... any idea? oh yea... the noise came about after installing my defi meters... and its not the meters as well... so... help me out yea.. thanks. =)
